Chief Digital Officer

David’s fifteen plus years in broadcast TV have placed him in both live and post-production environments in roles such as videographer, editor, director, producer, graphics developer, technology integrator…and that’s just skimming the surface. As the digital officer for Avanti Vision, he is the creative / technology / digital media geek guy. He produces video, animation, graphics, websites, digital content and the list goes on. At the crossroad of design and technology, he uses his varied skill set and experience to help clients leverage video and web technologies to maximize their marketing efforts.

Though David wears many different hats at Avanti Vision he ironically never wears one. When not in front of a computer or behind the camera, David likes traveling alone or vacationing in front of his computer or behind his camera. He's a constant learner with a strong work ethic. He prefers warm weather and thinks eating and sleeping are overrated. An avid runner, hiker and outdoors type. He’s a fan of beaches, mountains, and anything related to history, particularly the industrial revolution.

He’s hung out of helicopters, crawled through sewers, sunk in swamps and climbed higher structures than he ever cared too trying to get a shot. He’s mic’ed up celebrities, rubbed shoulders with TV stars and has been on site for the HD launch of over 35 TV stations. Point being, we think Dave got to have more fun at work than most people.

David is alpha level user on the Vizrt product line and traveled extensively throughout North America consulting with regional stations and networks on the use of the 3D real-time graphic software, broadcast design and newsroom integrations & workflows. Has worked with Fox News, CBS news, ABC News, ESPN, The Weather Network and the list goes on.

David is founder of A website dedicated to the advancement of Vizrt users world-wide.
He is the author of The Vizrt Book – Broadcast Design with Vizrt. The first book published on the design and use of the Vizrt Artist system.

He recently reached a milestone in his life when he baked 5 minute brownie mix in 3 minutes.
